			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Karl Else, an expert in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and its application to the transport, mining and power sectors, has been appointed Engineering Director of Mosen Ltd.</p>
<p>After graduating from Brighton Polytechnic in 1989 with a degree in mechanical engineering, Karl became a consultant specialising in Computational Fluid Dynamics.  Starting his professional career on the Channel Tunnel design team he developed his expertise in smoke control, industrial ventilation and condenser optimisation. During this time he worked with a wide range of clients in North and South America, Europe and Asia on site and as part of local design teams on the Delhi, Ankara and Copenhagen Metro systems and the Attiko Metro in Athens.</p>
<p>Following a period in New York working on smoke control in the Hoboken, 33<sup>rd</sup> Street and World Trade Center stations for the Port Authority of NY &amp; NJ, Karl returned to work in the UK on the Heathrow Terminal 5 station and the Thameslink and Crossrail stations at Farringdon .</p>
<p>After working on the Holmesdale, Bell Common and Hatfield Tunnels as part of the M25 Sphere project he formed an advanced simulation team with the mission to promote CFD and other simulation technologies into areas where they had previously not been considered viable.</p>
<p>Dr Fathi Tarada, managing director of Mosen Ltd, said: &#8216;Karl&#8217;s appointment is a great milestone in Mosen Ltd&#8217;s development as a leading consultancy in CFD, fire safety engineering and tunnel ventilation.
